Creating a Home Luxury Date Night that Isn't Just for Valentine's
A home luxury date night can rival and be better than any overpriced restaurant or local attraction. In fact, the privacy offered by a special night in your own house makes it even more intimate and meaningful. Of course, it can get a little boring, and you can run out of ideas if you have done it before. So, from setting the mood to spicing it up, here are some suggestions.
Cooking together can be romantic
Plan a Simple but Stunning Meal
Home indulgences that elevate daily life are popular for obvious reasons, but what about a special night? Going the extra mile in the kitchen is a special way to show how much you care for someone. Apart from romance, feeding a loved one shows commitment, respect and love. When you are planning a date night at home, consider premium ingredients such as lobster delivered to your door, top-tier meat or poultry and take the time to master cooking them.
Romantic lighting can be helpful
Set the Home Luxury Date Night Mood
Today, the average American working couple spends just 3 hours per day interacting with each other. Everyone can agree that this is too little time for a practical relationship, and just setting the right mood can have a major influence on how much meaningful time you spend together:
Tone down the lighting with dimmable LEDs, string lights, and candles.
Switch on the playlist of your favorite relaxing music or project YouTube videos.
Cozy up the seating and dining areas with soft pillows, plushy throws, and pillows.
Craft a Cocktail Tasting
Cocktails are a popular way to get in the mood and relax a little. With exotic flavors and silly names, they pretty much sell themselves as part of the fun of any night. However, there are even some naughty ones for adult time, with names like "Slippery Nipple." Yeah, that's real! Of course, you don't have to use alcohol, either. For every cocktail, there is a "mocktail," an alcohol-free version, many of which taste just like the real thing. Just be prepared for the cost!
Date night can also be a day date too
Don't Skimp on the Wine
Further to drinking costs, wine can set you back quite a bit. However, you should know that expensive doesn't mean good, and cheap doesn't mean bad when it comes to wine. Of course, everyone has their favorites, yet most people only know about three of four types. Experimenting with wine is part of the fun, and pairing with food is a great adventure. From Didier et Catherine Champloux to Chamonix Chardonnay Reserve, just go with the flow.
Try Home Luxury Date Night Activities
Around 48% of couples have a date night. Crafting a home luxury date night relies on many small but important parts, like most activities worth doing. While it can be a powerful way to keep your relationship positive and happy, there are some activities that enhance further.
Create a romantic movie theater
Netflix and Chill doesn't really cut it when you want to enhance the romance. There's something special about an old movie projected on a wall that makes for cozy and unforgettable moments,
Dance in the kitchen together!
Take it into the spa!
A home spa experience can be just what you need to bring it down and really relax. Personal massage kits, face masks, and steam, lots of steam, are excellent for getting in the mood.
Break out the games
Everyone has a different idea of fun, but most people agree that games are pretty much the way to go. From classic board games to co-op video games and VR and AR, there's no real limit!
You can look and feel your best on a date at home
Try to Look Your Best
While looks aren't everything in a loving relationship, it is nice to treat each other now and then by dialing it up a little. When you have a romantic date night planned, you know what you need to do and by when. So, shave those legs, file your tootsies, and get your hair done! For the guys, a clean shave, a shower, and a bit of grooming go a long way and clothes help make the man, too! Looking your best helps get those feelings going and you know what that means!
Try Decadent Desserts
Some people love savory delights, and others love nothing more than sweet, indulgent desserts. Desserts can be the perfect way to round off a meal, especially one you have prepared all day. It's okay if you can't make a dessert as they are a whole different animal than traditional meals. Most supermarkets sell high-quality desserts that everyone would love. There are also local bakeries where you can order something special for a night with no rules about indulgence!
A date night can be just for holding each other
Spice Up a Home Luxury Date Night
According to Verywell Health, the average American couple has sex once a week, but less for those 50+. Of course, it's probably a forgettable analytic most of the time, however, a date night is the perfect time to spice it up a little. For your next special night together, give the following a try:
Slowly move things into a romantically prepared bedroom for more intimacy.
Remember, intimacy doesn't mean sex, and just holding each other is enough.
Try "new things" if both of you are prepared and there is mutual consent between you.

If You Can't Cook, Order Takeout!
Now, preparing a meal for someone you love is a fantastic way to show how much you appreciate them. However, obviously, not everyone can cook, and some are an absolute disaster in the kitchen. If this is the case, it's okay to order takeout, which is also a great option if you are tired. Cooking a meal is hard work, and it can take it out of you. It can also be the last thing you want to do after working. You can still present a takeout meal like one you have made.
Summary
A stunning meal for both of you can elevate a home luxury date night into something special. However, small extras like projecting a move while cozied up add a magical touch. If you can't cook, there's no shame in ordering a quality takeout that both of you can enjoy just as much.
