How to Organize the Cords Next to Your Bed
Say goodbye to cable chaos in your bedroom! If you are like me and are annoyed every time your tech cords fall in between your bedside and nightstand, I have a great life hack that I’ve loved more than anything else I’ve tried. Cord organization is a struggle in our technological world, but with easy organization solutions like this great idea, the struggle will become less dramatic and tiresome. Read on to learn about our easy cord organization idea.
My bedside cord organizers
We organized our office computer cords a while back and the results were amazing. It became a very popular post on our website and you can get our easy computer cord organization here. You can also see it in our video below or via our YouTube channel @carolynjbraden:
We tried some bedside cord organizers that had you running the cords through a plastic or silicone contraption with slots for the cords, but over time, it stretched out and it became sticky and hard to clean. We have the OtterBox 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Station and love it. This is one great solution, however, I also have an iPad and a business phone, so I needed more cord organization.
These cord organizers come in other colors
So, after lots of organization research, I opted to try the INCHOR swiveling cord organizers from Amazon for $6.39. I liked these because they have an adhesive back that you peel and stick to your nightstand. I have not tried to peel them off yet, so I cannot talk to you about whether this will damage your nice wood nightstand (if you have one) but at this point, I don’t care.
The INCHOR organizers are budget friendly
I just want my cords organized easily. I have always had luck with removing stick-on things with a little patience and the Goo Gone Sticker Lifter, so I’m not worried about if I ever have to remove them.
I chose the INCHOR swiveling clips to test, but here are some others to try:
IToleeve 12 pcs “hand” cable clips, Amazon $13
INCHOR Cable and wire organizer, Amazon $6.50
Bronze SmallCat Cord Organizers, Amazon $9.99
Nightstand Cord Organizer, Walmart $7.99
Wrap-It 10 pk cable clips, Target $4.99

If you are worried about your nightstand getting damaged, this Smartish magnetic cord holder requires no peel and stick. It was something I considered ordering, but at over $25, it wasn’t something I wanted to spend my money on at the time. It has great reviews, so it may be something to consider.
Various cord organizers for your nightstand via Amazon
If you are sticking to a budget for cord organizers, my INCHOR ones are great. After I stuck them on my nightstand (you can put them on the backside, but I wanted mine on the side) they open and close using a strong magnet. I opened mine (I added two for my two cords), put my phone cords in them, closed the “door” and my cords are now always accessible and won’t fall down between my bed and nightstand. They also swivel, which is nice for when I need a cord to go in a different direction.
