Just call me Monica. The character on the show “Friends” was well known to get excited about organizing and cleaning and I am the same way. When I get frustrated with trying to find an item in my home, I always wonder if it’s because I don’t have the area I’m storing it in organized enough. Usually that is the case and I start problem solving, trying to figure out the best storage solution. It’s fun for me.
I love this soft lined bag for my Dyson dryer travel storage
If you struggle to find things or struggle to untangle all your hair tools, this article is for you. Read on to learn some of the amazing ways I organize and declutter my beauty supplies. These are ways to organize that work for me and my home. I’m sure in another house, I’ll organize a bit differently, but these methods work for when you have a smallish space that has very little closets or storage.
See me unveil some of my favorite storage solutions in my 1-minute video below or via my YouTube channel @carolynjbraden:

Buying Links/Discount Code
Most of my organizing solutions came from Temu, Amazon and Walmart and I’ve included direct links to each item. If you order from Temu, search the term that I used to describe the item on the app or website using this link. You can use my discount code afe55197 at check-out to get 30% off (for new app users only).

Hot Hair Tool Organization
For my hot hair tools, I used to store them in storage ottomans, but when the cords kept getting tangled, I switched to double layer insulated travel bags. I store them in my closet on some of my shelving.

When I need the tools, I simply grab the bags and bring them to where I’m getting ready. They are also helpful to grab and go if you travel a lot.
I love this stand for my Dyson hair dryer
I adore my hair dryer storage tool. It is metal, heavy duty and allows me to magnetize my Dyson attachments to it. It would work for other hair dryer brands too. I linked to a wall mounted one on Walmart that is another idea and it works for many brands/styles of hair dryers.
See me use my Dyson flyaway attachment (that easily fits on my stand) in my 1-minute video below or via my YouTube channel @carolynjbraden.

These organizers hold all my heatless curling tools

I love a great cubby style shelf for storing shoes, journals, mementos, art supplies and hair tools. I have several throughout our home. I also add baskets to them or folding storage boxes to keep it looking organized.

Clothing Storage
While this isn’t technically a beauty supply, while you are organizing those things, you may as well as clear some clothing clutter too. We currently live in southwest Florida where we rarely need sweaters. Since we travel to cooler environments and will be moving to a cooler environment, we store our heavier sweaters and jackets in clear zipper bags that are made out of a tarp-like material.
They will be great during our move too as they are less pricy than the garment boxes that you end up tossing once you move. They are reusable and great for storing all kinds of things like extra blankets too.

I love the clear lid so I can see my perfumes
Perfume Organization
In 2023, I purchased my very first thing from Temu and it was this beautiful green organizer. It was kind of vintage looking and was the perfect size to sit next to my makeup vanity. I love that had a see-through lid so I could see what was inside. The drawers are nice for storing my multiple roller ball perfumes and perfume samples.

Jewelry Organization
I either like the necklace hangers my husband made for me (see it in the image in the next section) or I like felt lined jewelry storage containers. I also love clear, segmented boxes for when I travel which keep my smaller jewelry pieces from getting tangled.

I love open shelving for storing beauty supplies
Beauty Product Organization
I like to place all my hair products on an open shelf so I can see what I have. I keep my brushes and hair accessories in wood crates and baskets on the shelf too.

My favorite $35 makeup organizer
Makeup Organization
I usually keep my makeup in the storage drawers that I keep next to my vanity. I also reserve a couple of drawers for some jewelry and hair accessories too.
I’ve had this makeup train case for many years
For product overflow and to store new items I’ve bought (usually when things I run out of frequently go on sale, I’ll buy them, even if I don’t need them right away) while I finish up the old makeup, I use a Shany makeup trolley train case. I used this a lot when I did special event makeup for clients. It can also hold hair tools and more.

I love the pink color!
When I have short travel trips in the car, I added a smaller train case to my collection after my brand name one started to fall apart. I loved the old one but saw it went up in price to $65, I turned to Temu to see if they had a similar one for less money.
Makeup train case with a strap
Turns out, they did (mine was $35) and I liked it even more. It has plastic trays that fold out while my old one had cardboard-ish ones that were covered in a fabric. The plastic trays are easier to clean and this pink train case comes with a lock, key, and a strap for easier carrying. Use my link here to grab the train case on Temu and you can use my discount code afe55197 for 30% off.
My rhinestone brushes next to my makeup brush holders
Makeup Brush Organization
I either like to use mugs, glass jars or a silicone makeup brush storage tool to organize my makeup brushes. The silicone brush storage is also great for my painting brushes in my craft room. I wrote about it here on my website. I also made a quick video that shows it on my YouTube channel @carolynjbraden or it’s below.

Nail Supply Organization Ideas
Mani + Pedi Supplies Organizer
I recently was tired of dragging out so many little bags for all my nail supplies, so once again, I turned to Temu to help me get all my manicure and pedicure supplies organized.
My “bloody” nail art design
I have done a lot of my own nail art at home and because of this, I have a lot of supplies. So, I ordered this multi-tiered organizer from Temu for around $13 and finally got all my nail supplies put together in one place. Well, mostly all of them.
This organizer stores my LED nail light too.
I didn’t think it’d hold as much as it really did, but it was pretty spacious. I may even order a second one because it was so inexpensive. I love all the compartments that hold my cords for my nail light and pedi tool too. You can get similar nail polish organizers on Amazon and at Walmart too.
