My fourth dance workout video…this time it’s 10 minutes in length and inspired by my days of being a cheerleader! There is no need for you to have ever been a cheerleader or a dancer to be able to follow along. You’ll get a great workout as long as you just keep moving! We move to Jonas Brother “Sucker” and Fitz and the Tantrums “The Walker” and “Handclap” in this video.
Need modifications? Don’t jump if you don’t want to. Sit if you want to. Make up your own moves if you want to. The whole point of dancing is to have fun and MOVE! Movement does not have to be choreographed for it to be effective.
See the video below.
Why I started making dance workout videos:
I have loved to dance since I was a little girl. As soon as I was able to take classes, I dove right in. As I grew as a dancer, I often was asked to be a leader for the younger age classes.
After my parents divorced, I was not able to take my dance classes any more. Fortunately, I was able to cheer. Being a cheerleader allowed me to still use my dancing and leadership skills AND added on a layer of gymnastics.
“Dance is music made visible.”
As an adult, I still love dancing. I feel it’s a great form of exercise and an awesome mood booster. I recently started making videos using my dancing and cheering background to lead others towards moving a little more.
Being a former teacher, I know all about the different levels of learning and added modifications so all ages and skill levels can participate too. Watch my fun dance workout video below to add a few minutes of movement to your day.
Don’t have time to watch it? That’s okay! Just turn on your favorite music and dance at your own pace today! Dancing doesn’t have to be choreographed….just let your body move and groove to the beat and that will be enough!
