Use This Hack to Protect and Conceal Bumps on Your Tumblers

If you are like me and have a water tumbler on hand at all times (I was using it before the crazy Stanley Quencher craze hit in 2024 as I make sure I drink plenty of water every day), you probably drop it sometimes or it may be getting scratched up from being in your car or stroller’s cup holder.

I dropped my Yeti Rambler tumbler on concrete during our Hurricane Milton evacuation (we were moving fast and accidents happen during times like this) and got some scratches and dents. With my Yeti being kind of expensive, instead of buying a new tumbler, I got a silicone sleeve for it to cover my “whoopsies”.

My Yeti is still usable and the silicone cover covers my whoopsies

I knew there was an easy solution to keep my Yeti around because I really like it. With ice, it keeps my water cold for a full day or longer. I put in a search on Amazon for “silicone sleeve for tumblers” and found many solutions. I ended up settling on the Sip Slip for a 30 oz. Yeti, RTIC, Ozark Trail, Magellan tumblers and more. Grab it here on Amazon for around $14. I got Pretty in Pink, but it comes in many other colors and prints and in a 20 oz. size too.

My Yeti now looks better with this sleeve

While there are many sleeve cups/boots for the bottom of your tumblers (which help them not make tons of noise when placing them on hard surfaces AND protect surfaces), I wanted one for my whole cup as I got scratches all over it when I dropped it. With my cup being over $35 now, the full silicone sleeve covers the mess so I don’t have to buy a new one. The cup is still highly usable, so this is a great inexpensive option for covering it up.

Here are some other tumbler protectors via Amazon and Walmart:

The silicone sleeve slides right on my Yeti

It slides on my Yeti perfectly and stays on. It isn’t an exact match, but it is light weight, works to cover my full tumbler, and looks really good too. I also like that it gives me better grip. If you are not wanting to replace an expensive tumbler, definitely check out your options for silicone sleeves. In my research, they are always less expensive than buying a new one!
