Since you are custom building your home it might be worth investing in some solar panels. Solar panels are a great way for you to potentially save thousands of dollars on your electrical bill.
While it may be an added cost upfront even if you're on a tight budget you may want to consider it. Adding solar panels is the best way for you to have a reliable source of electricity.
