My Inspiration
In celebration of my invitation from the Nordstrom Rack team to go check out their newest location in Estero Florida (at Coconut Point), I decided to finally share some of my Nordstrom Rack shopping stories and secrets here. The new store and all Nordstrom Racks have similar brands and great deals!

I know this for a fact by going to several stores in different states. Here’s why I love Nordstrom Rack and have for many years.
QUICK TIP: Shop “the rack” often as they get in new brands and products weekly. They also mark them down weekly depending on how long the product has been there, like most retailers.

Why I First Fell in Love with Nordstrom Rack
I started off loving the prices and the brands Nordstrom Rack had first and foremost. I began shopping Nordstrom Rack at the Louisville, Kentucky store and loved going there weekly to peruse their brands like Free People, Levi’s, Hunter, Tory Burch, Penguin, Staub, Ugg, Sorel, and so many more.

I didn’t always buy, but “deal hunting” and saving money is something my husband and I love doing together. They have the brands we like at the discounted prices that our wallet could afford. Then came in their sweet customer service rep.

A Nordstrom Rack Love Story is Secured
One day at the Louisville store, I found a few necklaces bunched up together in the jewelry section and wanted the Alex and Ani $7 sale necklace but could not get them untangled. I took them to the front counter and told a Nordstrom Rack customer service person about how I wanted the $7 necklace but could not get it untangled.

She looked at the mess, then looked at me and said “Let me see what I can do. Give me your name and number and I’ll call you if I can get it untangled.”

Nordstrom Rack Follows Through on Customer Service
The next day, she called me. She not only got the necklaces untangled, but she also told me the $7 necklace was on sale (red tag!) even more if I came in and got it that weekend. She saved me another 25% and I got the necklace. I still have it and wear it and think of her and her kind “above and beyond” approach. I wrote her and her manager a thank you note as I often do when I am pleasantly surprised by someone’s kindness.
QUICK TIP: Find something you love but there is no price or can’t find what you are looking for? Speak up! The saying “The squeaky wheel gets the grease” is a saying for a reason!

Red Tags
I love the sales on things already on sale at Nordstrom Rack. If you find the red tags, it’s a steep discount and the best time to snag something you have on your list. Like my $7 necklace, things that are name brands just don’t sell sometimes for full price and this is when you WIN as a consumer.
We love the Adidas comfort slides and they are greatly priced at NR!
QUICK TIP: My husband used to be a manager at a large retailer and learned most things always go on sale. You just need to have patience.

Gifts and Home Goods
I can always find unique gifts at Nordstrom Rack. They also have cute home décor that you can’t find anywhere else. Have a chef or home chef friend that loves Staub? Grab a discounted Staub knife rest or a casserole dish when and IF it shows up at the store. They have home fragrances by Nest, shaving sets for men, cute bag charms, jewelry and so much more.
They have great deals on men’s accessories, clothes and shoes!
QUICK TIP: Find something you know you or someone you love will want as a gift or now? Buy it! It may disappear and never been seen again. I learned this lesson on a pair of shoes at a discount store once. I still think about those pink boots that I totally wanted and missed out on when I finally decided to go buy them. I snoozed and lost out.
