Between the Schlep Stack and the Hulken Carry On, I am a firm believer than an over-packer like myself could actually use these to have a great 3-4 day trip with everything I’d need.
The Hulken rolls on many surfaces
After a full day of testing (I packed, unpacked, rolled it in my house and in my yard and packed the cubes in both the Hulken Carry-On and in the Hulken small, lifted the carry-on packed around the house to test it’s durability, shook the packing cubes while packed and unpacked, and more), YES, I’d buy them over and over again.

Hulken makes a really great product that is affordable and durable. I LOVE that it’s lightweight as is, so I can pack quite a bit into it and not worry about going over TSA weight or size limits. I can prove it too….read on to learn more.

Due to being a huge fan, Hulken sent me their latest travel product, The Schlep Stack Packing Set, and upon first glance, I told myself there was no way I was going to be able to fit everything I’d need for a long weekend getaway in the clear cubes. I was wrong.
The Hulken Carry On can be used as a beach bag!
I love this waterproof set and it not only fits in the Hulken carry-on, but it also fits perfectly in the Hulken small. You can also just purchase this set for any luggage. In 2026, they introduced some new colors for the Schelp Stack and they sent me a pink Schlep Stack to test. I love it!
Sand dusts right off both Hulkens!
I took mine to the beach along with my Hulken Carry-On and decided they all would be a perfect beach bag too if you are going and can’t take a separate bag. Sand dusts easily off of both. You can’t really roll the carry-on onto the beach, but I used the tote handles and it did perfectly.
My Hulken packing cubes hold a lot!
I did love the waterproof zippers on each cube. They seal up really, really well. I’ve seen this new waterproof zipper on my husband’s cooler, the CORE, and it really does keep liquids inside! It’s a little tough to get going, but it is highly effective so you can not worry about your liquids spilling into your luggage.
There is still room after packing the cubes in!
In the largest cube, I packed clothes for a long weekend (warm weather clothing) and two pairs of shoes, socks and underwear and a bathing suit and still had room for more. In the other cubes, I fit a hairdryer, curling iron, makeup, all my travel sized product needs, brushes, and more. I’d use this packing set for any trip, airport or car adventure.

After stacking this packing set into my Hulken Rolling Carry On and once into my Hulken small, there was still room in the tote for anything else I needed. If I was packing heavier clothes for a winter or late fall trip, I’d use this extra room for a sweater, sweatshirt or boots.

The Hulken Rolling Carry-On Tote
Hulken sent me their Hulken Rolling Carry-On Tote, and it is different than the regular totes as it’s somewhat made of different material and has several unique packing features. It’s the same size as the regular Hulken small, 14”x9”x22” when open, making them meet TSA travel standards for most airlines.

The Hulken small has the same dimensions so you could also use it as a carry on. The small just has a few details missing, making it a good carry-on option, but this specific Hulken carry on is a GREAT carry-on option.

It’s super lightweight at 4.4 lbs (2kg), holds 41 L, and is made out of PVC coated material. The regular Hulken bags are more like a super thick tarp material, but this one is smoother. It has Velcro pockets on either side of the tote to shove your two tote style handles into so they don’t get tangled on the plane. It has a third handle for easy rolling through an airport.

The top is zippered, so you can seal it up tight. It has a handle on the zippered “lid” and one on the side for easy lifting into the overhead bins on planes. The inside has two pockets; one zippered and one smaller unzippered one. It has Velcro straps so you can tuck a laptop in it and secure it.

When you get home, the Hulken Carry-On folds up like the regular Hulken’s, taking up much less space than a traditional carry-on. It’s wipeable (inside and out), so you can wipe out all that sand you bring back from your beach getaways for years to come. It comes with a dust bag as well.

Problem: I Wanted to Use the Hulken Schlep Stack as a Carry-On...But Could It Actually Fit Everything?
One of my YouTube community members recently asked a great question: How do you actually pack the Hulken Carry-On with the full Schlep Stack for a real trip? I love staying organized when I travel, but for my community member, I also wanted to make sure everything would fit, stay within most airline carry-on size and weight guidelines, and still be easy to navigate through an airport.
So, I put it to the test for a 3–4 day trip.
After a little planning (and a luggage scale!), I figured out a packing system that worked beautifully. As I did earlier in the article, I packed the largest waterproof Schlep Stack organizer with my clothing, undergarments, one pair of shoes, and a few content creation tech essentials. Pack this in first, flat and vertically.
The next largest organizer held my vitamins, an all-in-one hair dryer and styler, hair accessories, and other personal care items. I used the remaining three waterproof Hulken organizers for toiletries, including my shampoo bars and plenty of travel-size favorites. (You can shop many of my favorite travel minis in my Amazon storefront here.) Pack this in next, along the side of the first one.
Instead of storing my makeup in another Schlep Stack organizer, I packed it inside my Case-Mate Jelly Pouch (use the link or code CAROYN20 for 20% off on their website only), which actually freed up enough room inside the Hulken Carry-On for yet another small Schlep Stack organizer if I wanted one.
I also carried my Case-Mate Jelly Tote with my personal items, making it easy to keep everything I needed during the flight within reach. It also fits the standard size guidelines for the one personal item for most airlines. Pack these in next…trust me, they fit perfectly with room to spare, perfect for an extra sweater or sweatshirt!
The best part? After packing everything, I weighed the bag using a luggage scale, and it came in at just 20 pounds, comfortably under the carry-on weight limits for many airlines. I also measured the jelly tote to make sure it stayed within the carry-on size requirements for most major airlines.
The result is a travel setup that's organized, easy to access, and designed to make getting through the airport as smooth and hassle-free as possible. You could even slide your laptop in there!
Problem solved! Sometimes all it takes is testing a real-life travel question to discover a packing system that saves time, reduces stress, and keeps everything exactly where you need it.
