My Budget-Girly CVS Coupon Routine Using My ExtraCare Card
Couponing doesn’t have to be stressful or extreme. In this budget-girly guide, I’m sharing how I coupon at CVS to save big using my ExtraCare Card. From digital coupons and ExtraBucks to sale stacking and easy in-store tricks, this simple CVS couponing routine helps me save money on beauty, personal care, and everyday essentials—without the overwhelm.

If you love saving money but still want your shopping trips to feel fun, welcome—you’re my people 💕 CVS is one of my favorite places to shop because once you learn how to use your ExtraCare Card, the savings really start adding up. My husband taught me how to shop smarter for fashion after he worked as a retail manager at Express many years ago, and now I use those tips to buy things we run out of frequently on sale!
I stock up on feminine products when they go on sale
This is my budget-girly CVS couponing routine—simple, realistic, and totally beginner-friendly.
💳 Step 1: I Always Use My ExtraCare Card
This is non-negotiable. My ExtraCare Card:
Tracks store sales: I scavenge the CVS app at least once a week to see what’s on sale
Unlocks exclusive CVS coupons: They will often send you a coupon if you are an ExtraCare card member, so definitely sign up! The 40% off coupon is my fav!
Earns ExtraBucks rewards: Often if I buy one thing, I’ll get money towards my next shopping trip, and since you can double, triple and quadruple savings and coupons via your ExtraCare card, this is truly a nice bonus!
BOGO Fazit is my fav!

📱 Step 2: I Load Digital Coupons Before I Shop
Before heading to CVS, I check the CVS app and:
Clip digital manufacturer coupons: I simply tap the plus button to “send to card”
Look for beauty and personal care deals like for what we run out of the most often such as:
Sensodyne Toothpaste : Simply the best at keeping our teeth white and pain free.
TheraBreath Oral Rinse : My hygienist recommended it and I love it….no sugar!
CVS brand Organic Tampons : Always the best prices on organic hygiene!
CVS Brand Organic Pads : I buy the big box and it lasts for months!
Garnier Micellar Water : My husband hates splashing water on his face so this keeps it clean without soapy water in his eyes.
Nature’s Bounty Hair Growth Capsules : I noticed a big difference in the new hair growth around my hairline!
Sensodyne is very effective!
This takes me less than five minutes and makes a huge difference at checkout. The app saves your frequent purchases, so you can also use that to find those items to see if they are on sale. I stock up so we never go without AND it all was PURCHASED AT A DISCOUNT!

🧾 Step 3: I Stack Sales, Coupons & ExtraBucks
This is where the magic happens ✨
I stack:
Weekly sale prices
Digital or paper coupons
ExtraBucks rewards from previous trips
It’s not extreme couponing—it’s just smart stacking. Add them to your CVS card and no worries if you forgot to bring your receipt. When you checkout at CVS, those LONG RECEIPT coupons get auto-added to your ExtraCare card.

💄 Step 4: I Focus on What CVS Does Best
CVS is amazing for:
Beauty & skincare: I LOVE when Fazit glitter freckles go on BOGO sales (buy one, get one) as they make my face sparkle and make me happy to look at!
Haircare
Personal care
Seasonal essentials
I plan my shopping around these categories so my savings go further.
Those yellow tags mean big savings!
💸 Step 5: I Roll My ExtraBucks
Instead of spending ExtraBucks right away, I:
Save them for my next CVS trip, paying attention to expiration dates
Use them on items already on sale
This keeps my out-of-pocket cost low every time.

Couponing at CVS doesn’t have to feel complicated. With a little planning and your ExtraCare Card, you can save big while still enjoying the shopping experience. Budget-girly savings are all about consistency, not perfection 💗
