1- Set your budget
The first step to transforming your home is to get your finances in order. Check your monthly expenses and bills and figure out exactly how much you can afford to set aside. If this isn't quite enough to cover your predicted costs for the project, delay the process a little so you can save up. Once you’ve locked in a budget - ensure you stick to it.

2- Make small, yet impactful changes
If you are redecorating the bathroom for purely aesthetic reasons, you may not need to make drastic changes in order for them to have an impact. For example, you could replace your boring old tiles with bathroom mosaic tiles to create a more visually interesting and dynamic space. In some cases, the tiles you select could actually help the bathroom appear bigger or more spacious, or simply bring a pop of colour into the space.

3- Make sustainable changes
When renovating the bathroom, think about the changes you can make that make your home more sustainable as well as stylish. For example, you could install a low-flush toilet to reduce water waste in your home. Alternatively, you could cut down on your water bills by simply repairing any broken, damaged or leaky faucets or showerheads that may be costing you money without you evening realising.

4- Be practical in your approach to DIY
DIY is one of the easiest ways to save money when creating the perfect home - and there are plenty of DIY tasks you can carry out in your bathroom, such as painting the walls or hanging tiles. However, carrying out tasks for which you are underqualified could end up costing you a lot more money further down the line, especially if you cause extensive damage to the property.
As a result, you should always be aware of the DIY jobs you have to leave to the experts, such as anything that involves plumbing or electricity. This is the easiest way to protect your home, while also keeping yourself and your family safe.
