This Flexible Grabber Claw is Our Favorite Life Hack Tool

There are just some things in life that you need to have on hand in order to save you a lot of time and money. Between dryer lint, tiny screws and art supplies ending up in small spaces that a hand can’t reach to hair in the drain and more, this flexible grabber claw tool is one of our favorite life hack tools to have on hand. Read on to learn how we use it.

Oh, the dreaded soap issue

Most recently, I was trying to pump some soap into my hand and when none would come out, I saw the tube for the soap was loose. I tried to grab it before it fell off the pump, but it ended up falling off into the glass soap container. I tried to use a facial tool to get it out, but it wasn’t bendy, so next I tried tweezers. They fell in the soap container.

I then remembered our flexible grabber tool and knew it would work. It’s basically a long spring-like flexible hose with a button on the handle that opens the claw at the other end. It reminds me of the clamp game in some game rooms. Instead of trying to grab a toy or a stuffed animal though, we use this tool to grab tiny things that our hands cannot reach.

Tommy loves these grabber tools!

I called my husband, Tommy, to the bathroom and asked him to bring his grabber tool. He has one small flexible grabber tool that was perfect for fishing the tube out of the soap container. We also were able to get my tweezers out too.

See it in action: Watch us get the tube out of the soap container as well as the tweezers in this 1 minute video below or via my YouTube channel @carolynjbraden:

My husband has used this tool to get lint out of the dryer vent, get all my hair out of drains (in the sink, tub and shower), pick up screws and other small items whenever we drop them during one of our DIY projects and more. He also likes to use a Zip-It drain snake cleaner if a clog is more than the claw tool can handle.

Tommy always will keep these grabber tools on hand

Tommy also has another one that has a light and a magnet on the claw end. That one is a little bigger, so it doesn’t work on all drains, but it works to find some items when we drop them in darker places. We love these claw grabber tools and think you should grab one today.

You never know when your life will need a little hacking. We also love large grabber reacher tools to pick up trash and other items we find in the yard. I’m short at 5’1”, so it’s definitely a great tool for grabbing things from tall shelves in my pantry too.
