Dogs Love to Play Outside
Dog-Friendly Neighborhood
When it comes to keeping your dog healthy and happy in the home, an inner-city location can pose some issues; for one thing, there is the noise, some dogs don’t respond well to the sound of traffic on the road, but the other key issue is access to green-space for dogs to run and play.
This is something you need to think about when you keep a pet dog, and you’re moving apartment in the city. Remember, your dog will need to go outside at least twice a day, perhaps more, and they will need parks and green spaces to get some fresh air and exercise.

Dog-Friendly Building
First of all, there’s no reason why you can’t keep a dog in any building as long as they have regular access to some green space; you can always put your dog in the car and go for a drive to a local area that’s dog-friendly. However, it makes it easier when you have outdoor space.
A dog-friendly building will have an outdoor space where you can let your dog out for short periods for the toilet, some fresh air, or some exercise. But if you have some outdoor space, you also need to make sure it is dog-safe. Do this by checking the area for fences and make sure there are no poisonous plants around.

Dogs Should Be Monitored With All Toys
Apartment Design Essentials
In terms of the apartment interior, you need to make sure your dog is happy and comfortable in your home; you can do this by creating a safe space for your furry companion to sleep and rest. Create a corner that your dog know belongs to them; it will help them feel secure and happy.
Another thing you have to consider is your dog’s personality. Some dogs will be quiet and passive, but others will chew things up, especially in apartments where you don’t have easy access to an outdoor space. Ensure you don’t have any toxic materials around to chew.

Decoration and Toys
The thing to remember when you keep dogs in city apartments near me is that you need to create comfortable and healthy spaces for them to live. You are limited in space in an apartment, but you can compensate for that with decoration and toys to keep them occupied.
Make sure you have a dog bed and an area for food; no matter what type of dog you have, they will feel happier if they have some dedicated areas that belong to them. We’ve crate trained our dogs and they now love their “house” (what they know they crates as). Remember that dogs in small spaces can become destructive, so avoid toxic cushions and give them plenty of toys (as long as they can prove they won’t eat their toys!).

Dog-Friendly Gadgets
There are plenty of dog-friendly gadgets that can keep your dog happy and comfortable in small inner-city apartments. Gadgets include things like dog fountains, remote trainers, and artificial grass mats that help avoid toilet trips to the park, so make the most of dog-friendly gadgets.
