The Inspiration

Pigs in a Blanket, or wrapping hot dogs or cocktail sized sausages in crescent rolls, were always a fun thing to make growing up and as an adult. They are easy and quick and make for an easy party appetizer or a weeknight dinner. I’ve added cream cheese, cheddar, and jalapeno to crescent rolls with halved hot dogs for a jalapeno popper style pig in a blanket and highly recommend trying that too.

Quick and Easy Sides

We love making my homemade baked turkey sliders, so I took the concept of the turkey sliders and the pig in a blanket and tested turkey and cheese in the crescent roll and another delicious dinner recipe was created. It’s easy and quick and here’s some sides you could serve them with:

Another Easy Party Recipe Idea

My boozy grapes were a hit during a Christmas party and they’d go great next to the cresent rolls if you serve them as appetizers. Get that recipe here or via my YouTube video below or via my channel @carolynjbraden:

Is a Crescent Roll and a Croissant the Same?

A question I asked myself as I typed up this recipe is now answered. No, a crescent roll and a croissant is not the same thing. They are both curved and have a buttery taste; however they are different due to their makeup. Learn more about their differences here in this Yahoo Lifestyle article.
