It’s been one of those weeks. We all have them. It’s not that it’s been bad 100%. It’s just not been the most fun. I have SO much to be grateful for, and I am, however, I still get sad from time to time. It’s just part of being human.
What do I do when I have “one of those weeks”?
I’ve written about the actions I take in the following articles:
I’ve re-read the articles to remind myself to take my own advice. This week, though, some of my own advice worked, however I still feel a little down in the dumps. I think it’s mostly because it has been raining, cloudy and cold outside every day for almost a week. Ah, winter time in Louisville, KY and Seasonal Affective Disorder fun….
I’ve been trying very hard this week to lighten my mood, including sending thank you cards to express my gratitude towards certain people in my life. I also called my mom, talked to my husband, someone sent me a sweet comment about one of my art pieces (thank you Angelo!), and my friend Rebecca randomly sent me a photo of a cute pair of sparkling boots (I love sparkles!!!!!!).
Lastly, I’m creating. Creating art and writing always helps me release sadness, among many other types of feelings. My talents are good to me like that.
Sending light and love to anyone who needs it!
