I Love You Enough To Let You Go - A Poem

Every day I look forward to waking up

and visiting you

inside my head

You live in a little pocket

that’s cozy and full of sunshine

just the way you wish

your life could be

I keep you there to remind me

of what I can be

of what I am

Thank you for your motivation

I hope you will one day find yours

It’s actually not easy to let go, but sometimes it’s necessary

A poem written by Carolyn J. Braden in dedication to dealing with relationships she’s had to let go of. She thought the relationships were as important to the other people as they were to her, but then, over time she learned they were not. Actions do, in fact, speak louder than words.

She still loves them and forgives them, but understands that their own self-doubt and their own internal struggles will always hold them back from having exactly what they want out of life. She knows that freedom is not something they are comfortable with. After feeling the pain of releasing them from her life, she understands their purpose in her life serve her with motivation to get exactly what she wants out of life; Love from those who know what love is.
