The 31st installment of my #MondayMantra series: I am inspirational
I did not want to write today.
Like……….. really didn’t want to write.
After creating the art this morning, I walked and exercised, played with Minnie Pearl (my puppy), made dinner and then laid on the couch. Social media/texting/talking on the phone wasn’t appealing, there wasn’t anything I felt like watching on t.v., and I didn’t feel like dancing (something I LOVE to do!).
Then, all of the sudden, I sat up and remembered why “I am inspirational” came about to be today’s mantra.
The Story:
When I pulled the cap off of a new product I purchased for my husband to try (Cremo Shaving Cream) last night, it had a circular paper warning label around the screw top that said “Important! Read Directions. Works in an unusual way.” On the bottom of the circular label, I happened to see it had more text.
The text read:
You are admired for your originality, confidence and ability to inspire others to try new things. —Cremo
It sounded like fortune cookie saying, but I liked it. I pondered on it because it captured exactly what I hope to do each and every single day through my creations.
Through creating and putting it out into the world in various medias, I do hope to inspire others. I figured, if I didn’t follow through with creating today and putting it out into the world, then I wasn’t abiding by my life’s purpose. And that’s not cool.
FYI: I wrote more about my creativity and my path in this article.
While I pray each and every day that I am, in fact, inspirational in some way, I started writing “I am inspirational” in my journal to nail the point home to myself. I feel like if I reminded myself of it even more, then maybe I’ll realize it’s true.
While I needed that little fortune cookie-like reminder, maybe you do too. We all have fits of self doubt and perhaps the fact that you are reading my writing piece today is for a reason. YOU, YOURSELF are admired for your originality, confidence and ability to inspire others to try new things.
Now you know. Time to go light up the world!
Sending our light and love to all who need it!
Backstory on my mantra series:
A mantra is a word, phrase, or sound that is repeated to aid in meditation. You could also compare it to a sort of prayer. I feel my journaling and writing of my mantras is a form of meditation or prayer. It calms me and helps me make better sense of my feelings and all the thoughts swimming around in my mind.
I believe saying or writing something repeatedly, as you already have it, aids one in attaining dreams and goals. If you write something as you already have it, it makes you feel, somehow, as if it is truly happening no matter how drastic or scary it may seem. It's like a trick to help your brain catch up to what your heart desires.
