How to Wear a Fringe Skirt with Sleek Hair to Match

With feeling country vibes in our pending move to Georgia, I have been pulled to line dancing vibes and all things fringe. Perhaps with the Cowboy Carter tour starting, I felt it even more. With the creation of my butterfly cowgirl hat a while back, I used it to create a look that is super cute and is perfect for a country concert outfit, bachelorette party, a girl’s night out, line dancing or anytime you want to sparkle and wear something fun. Read on to learn how to wear a fringe skirt with sleek hair.

The Hair + Discount

My sleek, straight, shiny and long hair is brought to you via lots of time (it took years to grow it out), Viori shampoos and conditioners (I LOVE them, learn more about why I love Viori in my article here and how to use it or check them out on the Viori website using this link to get 10% off or use my code CAROLYNBRADEN at checkout), and my Wavytalk STEAM straightening brush (get my steam straightener here on Amazon).

I washed and blow-dried my hair straight (this tutorial on Byrdie is similar to how I blow out mine straight) the night before using a bit of Color Wow Dream Coat spray (then I sleep in a satin bonnet to keep it frizz free and out of my face).

In the morning, I sprayed Bumble and Bumble Heat Shield (Sephora) on my dry hair, brushed it, then heated up my straightening brush and ran it through my hair. Get my full WavyTalk steam straightening brush tutorial here on my website.

I then used some Moroccanoil Mending Infusion (Sephora) on my ends to seal them and on some flyway’s to tame them, then I put a bit of the Morroccanoil Treatment (Sephora or Amazon) into my hands and ran it down my hair to add shine. I’ve used this for over 10 years….love the smell too! It’s great for thicker hair, but if you have fine hair, they make a light version of it too.

The Outfit

I saw the glittery fringe skirt on Amazon and knew it’d be a fun piece. I ordered it in a medium and at 5’1”, it came to about my mid-thigh, so if you are taller, it will be shorter on you. It was a good fit at my waist/hips due to it having a belt and being a bit stretchy.

My Country Concert Outfit Idea

I ordered it in black so I could wear it with many colors. When you move or twist, the glittery rhinestones on the fringe move and shake, making it a perfect dancing skirt. Under the fringe is a solid skirt that is thick and not see-through.

The fringe sparkles and moves in a cute way!

I had some silver cowboy boots already and a black bodysuit from ASOS (here’s a similar bodysuit at Walmart and on Amazon for under $15) and paired them all together.

I added my thrift store makeover butterfly cowgirl hat and it was a cute outfit! See how I made my cowgirl hat here. I plan to piece it together with other items too and will post them to my socials and here!
