The song "Upgrade U" by Beyonce got stuck in my head last week and has been there ever since. I'm sure it is directly related to what my husband and I are working on right now.
We are finishing the renovations of our over 100 year old home right now. There are a lot of "upgrades" going on left and right.
So, this made me think: What "upgrades" do others need to work on?
It could be your home, your body, health, or even your overall life in general. If you are feeling the urge to do some upgrades, it may be time for you to create a list to hold yourself accountable.
I love checklists and create a couple every week. I have a grocery list that I keep on a clip board. I add items throughout the week (as I run out of things and/or as I think of them) and on my meal planning day, which is usually Friday.
Now that we have a lot to accomplish on our renovations, I have an ongoing house to-do list. We have a goal of when we want everything done, so that list makes us stay on task toward reaching our goal.
I highly recommend writing lists. They can help you get a lot accomplished in a little amount of time, which is a great way to stay organized as you "upgrade" your life. The feeling of checking items off becomes addictive, in a way. Some items take a little more time to check off, but that's okay. Sometimes slow and steady is better than nothing at all.
