In All Honesty…
I’ve had my lips filled with several products in the past, including with Restylane, but the last time I did it was about 3 years ago. So, I’ve been fortunate that my lips were filled enough times in the past that my lips sort of took on a permanent new plumper shape, but not all people will have the same results. If you are thinking of having your lips filled, speak with a licensed medical professional who is realistic in telling you what your results will be. Not everyone can get super full lips the first round.

My Fuller Lippy “Why”
The first time I had my lips filled was because I won a contest that gave me free lip filler from a medical professional and well, I fell in love with my fuller lips. My upper lip was very thin, and while I know beauty isn’t having fuller lips, I always wanted them. When I first saw the movie Weird Science as a kid, Kelly LeBrock’s lips made me wonder why I didn’t have fuller lips. Yep, that’s where my kid brain went.
So, as an adult in her 30’s, I finally was able to get fuller lips similar to Kelly’s, via a doctor, and while some may judge me, I say, I think like Dolly Parton. She says if you want to change a little something about your looks and can afford it, go for it. If you cannot afford lip filler, that’s where my little hack below can help.

My Daily Full Lip Cheat Kit
While I haven’t had my lips filled in years, I still want to keep my fuller look and my lip cheat doesn’t cost near as much as filler. I have experimented with so many lip products over the years, and when I got a free Mini Pillow Talk Lip Kit by Charlotte Tilbury in Medium from Sephora for my birthday in 2024, I could see it was different than other products.
The kit has a liner and a satin lipstick in it that coordinates perfectly. You can also get in in a matte finish. I have one of her red matte lipsticks and matching liners and it is great too! Her lipsticks last for hours, actually make my lips look fuller, and don’t dry my lips out.

How-To: Fuller Lip Cheat Tutorial
I received the Pillow Talk Lip Kit in Medium from Sephora, and while the color was nice, it was just slightly too dark for my skin tone. So, I ordered a Charlotte Tilbury mini lip kit in Fair to try it and the liner and lipstick was the perfect colors for me. I ordered the full-size K.I.S.S.I.N.G Satin Shine Lipstick in Pillow talk Fair (a cool nude pink) and the liner to match is Lip Cheat Lip Liner in Pillow Talk Fair (a cool nude pink). I stock up when it goes on sale.
Prep:
I first wipe away any makeup or gloss from my lips with a baby wipe, wiping outside my lip line a bit. Usually I apply some Too Faced Lip Injection Extreme to my lips while I do my makeup to plump them up a bit. I’ve done this for years, and have seen lasting plumping results, so you can try this hack (per the products claims) to see if you can slightly plump your lips with just this over time.
The liner is creamy but lasts
Process:
Then I draw the liner onto my lips, following the line and going slightly outside my natural lip line. I fill in my lips slightly with the liner so I can avoid a weird outline if my lipstick wears off while eating.
The lipstick is comfortable and not drying
Then I apply the matching lipstick and add a touch of either a sparkling Buxom lip polish (high end) or L.A. Girl sparkling lip plumper (budget-friendly) in the center of my upper and lower lips and spread it out just a bit.

Results:
This process gives your lips an illusionary fuller look. Now that I’ve found a perfect nude color, overlining my lips doesn’t look weird or look like I actually overlined them really. Finding the perfect nude lipstick and liner really helps your lips cheat a fuller look!
