The 14th installment in my Monday Mantra series: I am gifted.
I went to a Go Red for Women event (The American Heart Association) last year and was blessed to hear Kim Coles speak. She spoke about embracing your G.I.F.T.S. (gratitude, intention, forgiveness, triumph, and self-love). I listened carefully to her every word and believe her story and thoughts truly helped me start using my gifts more than I ever had before.
I believe that as long as you are using your true talents (your “gifts”), you will easily be able to figure out your true purpose in life.
Each and every human has gifts they can share with the world. I have many and have used them throughout my life to help others. I started to write “I am gifted” in my journal as a reminder that I have gifts AND as a reminder to keep using them.
My questions to you: What are your gifts? How are you using them to help yourself and to help others?
Need more help about how to use (or “open”) your gifts? Check out Kim’s book: Open Your G.I.F.T.S: 22 Lessons on Finding and Embracing Your Personal Power. Backstory on my mantra series:
A mantra is a word, phrase, or sound that is repeated to aid in meditation. You could also compare it to a sort of prayer. I feel my journaling and writing of my mantras is a form of meditation or prayer. It calms me and helps me make better sense of my feelings and all the thoughts swimming around in my mind.
I believe saying or writing something repeatedly, as you already have it, aids one in attaining dreams and goals. If you write something as you already have it, it makes you feel, somehow, as if it is truly happening no matter how drastic or scary it may seem. It's like a trick to help your brain catch up to what your heart desires.
