Identifying your goals and knowing what you want to achieve will have a big impact on how you go about finding your craft niche. Maybe you want to find a way to create crafts to improve your home. Or perhaps you want to develop skills that’ll help you to start a business and ultimately make money from your crafts. Your goals will dictate which path is the right one for you to take.
2- Consider Your Particular Skills

You should think about where your skills lie and how you might be able to adapt those skills in order to make progress with your crafting hobby. When you make use of your skills and then build upon them by learning new things, that’s when you start to find out what you’re really capable of. One skill can easily be bridged to the next one and the next one and the next one.
3- Consider Options for Monetization

If you’re serious about making money from your crafts and maybe starting a business of your own, you really need to think about what’s going to be most easily monetizable. That’s not to say that it has to be easy, but you have to have a vision for how the craft niche that you eventually settle on is going to generate an income for you moving forward.
4- Find What Interests You Most
In the end, what matters more than anything else is what interests you most of all. When you find a way of working and creating things that’s most appealing to you, you’ll stick to it for longer and enjoy it more. If you want to make shoes because it’s a creative outlet that you find rewarding and exciting, that’s the thing that’s most important to you. If you’re not interested in it, you’ll soon get bored and give up.
5- Experiment and Challenge Yourself

Finally, you should look for ways to experiment with things and to challenge yourself when you’re getting bored. You need to find something that’s going to excite you and sometimes you have to think outside the box as well. When you challenge yourself in new ways, you’ll be surprised by what you learn about yourself and what you’re capable of.
Now that you understand what it takes to find your craft niche, you can start making use of the tips above. The sooner you start finding the craft that works best for you, the sooner you can start pursuing it, either as a hobby that you can enjoy or a way of making money from your creative endeavors.
