Just because I work from home doesn’t mean I don’t have to be fashionable!
Yes, I’m someone that likes to be fashionable when I’m simply walking the dog or going to the grocery...it’s just who I am and have always been...right mom?! I even remember wanting to look fashionable in preschool.
I once put together a large sports jersey and a belt to make a cool dress (IN PRESCHOOL)! I remember feeling so awesome. I loved fishnet stockings too but my mom wouldn’t let me wear them to school though. LOL!
I buy a lot of my fashion and hair products from Target and Amazon, my makeup from Sephora and Ulta, and my shoes from Zappos and Amazon.
Love shopping on Amazon as much as I do?
Try out the Prime Wardrobe or Prime Personal Shopper programs. Click the links below to learn more about them. (Keeping up with transparency: I receive a very small portion of proceeds from items you purchase through my Amazon links via the Amazon Associates Program).
Scroll below to see more of my fashion finds that I love to wear when working at home and think you’ll love too.
I always find this information helpful when thinking about making certain online fashion purchases: I am 5’1” and about 120 lbs, petite but slightly curvy, with a heavier bust line.
Unique Earrings
My mom got me these cool earrings via Amazon for Christmas. I LOVE THEM. She gave me a set which came with multiple ear climbers in gold and silver. I only wear one on my left ear and then pair it with a matching stud earring. I wear it on my left ear because I use my right ear when answering the phone and this style of earring can get in the way of phone use….just an FYI.

Toms Shoes, Stretchy Denim Shorts and Puffy Sleeves
I’ve been wearing Toms shoes since I discovered the brand in 2008. For every pair of shoes you buy, they donate a pair to someone in need. They are comfy, come in lots of colors and easy to slip on and off. I usually buy them via their website, Toms.com.
I usually buy my denim shorts (with stretch of course for extra comfort) via Target.
Puffy sleeves have been around forever (anyone see the pirate shirt episode of Seinfeld…it’s my favorite) and I think they’ll continue to be stylish for years and years. I bought this comfy puffy sleeve sweatshirt via the sale racks at Target.

Matching Pet and People Merch
My dog Minnie Pearl loves to wear bandanas. We call them her kerchiefs because she’s fancy. LOL! I bought this matching set via the Buddy Bandana website. Since Minnie Pearl sits by my side while I work at home, we get to be fancy together, so why not match?!

Cute Headbands and Matching Sweatsuits
I made this super cute headband (see my DIY video via this link) and bought the inexpensive matching tie dye set via Target.com. I usually pair this type of outfit with my Superga leather perforated tennis shoes. I’m on my second pair because they go with so many outfits.

I’ve been pretty impressed with Amazon Fashion lately. This matching sweatsuit is part of The Drop by Amazon collection. I’ve ordered three pieces from different collections and I’ve loved them all. While I don’t love every collection, they are always on trend and affordable. I bought my set in size medium and it fits a bit oversized, but just how I like it.

Fun Colored Hair
I’ve loved colorful hair since seeing Cyndi Lauper on MTV when I was a child. Her hair was just so cool and I vowed I would have hair like it when I grew up. I went to Catholic school growing up (and lived in a very strict household), and was not allowed to wear funky colored hair or makeup. So, as soon as I moved out of my house and into the world, I started experimenting with fun hair and makeup. Now that I work at home full-time, I do it even more. I consider it a part of my creativity.
For this color blocked bang look, I did it myself by bleaching out a small section of my hair (with the guidance of my hair stylist friend) and added a mix of conditioner and coral (first image below) and hot pink (second and third images below) hair dye. I used Pravana and Wella products to get the look.

Fun Colored Makeup
When you work at home, you save time on not having to do a daily commute. So why not use that time to play with some makeup? I love makeup and enjoy playing with different looks from time to time. I even started doing some makeup tutorials based on my experience doing makeup for special events. Check out my first makeup video in which I used It Cosmetics (my favorite brand) to create an easy daily look. Click this link to see it now! In this look (below) I used purple eye shadow and a purple-pink glitter gloss from KVD Beauty.

Leggings and Cozy Teddy Bear Coats
I have worn leggings since the 90’s. My first pair had lace on the end of each leg. I paired them with a floral covered black and white striped shirt and thought it was the cutest! Little did I know I’d still be wearing leggings and oversized shirts paired together in my 40’s.
I think the style is super cute, stylish and most important, comfortable. My shoes are my favorite hikers by Danner. I saw them in the movie Wild and thought they were the cutest! They are great for more than just fashion…I actually enjoy hiking.
