A DIY Slime Birthday Party Can Be Fun!

1- Slime Party

Slime is all the rage right now, and it makes an excellent theme for a kids party. You can make your own with a few ingredients and patience. Keep it simple, or get creative with your display. A great idea is to turn the party into a slime party. Get your child's friends to bring ingredients to make different types of slime.

Once you have made your batch, turn the party into a competition to see who can make the most colorful slime. Put out some plastic bowls and spoons for your kids to get creative, and make sure you have a large container to store their creations in. You can also make a few jars of your own homemade slime to give out as party favors. These are great for kids to play with at home.

2- Mini Golf Party

This is another great party theme that children of all ages will love. You can get creative with your decorations and don't even have to create an entire mini golf course. Instead, use ample space, and develop different holes for your party guests to complete. You can use cardboard boxes and bottles, or find impressive decorations online.

You can use a sketch book to create your ideas for a mini golf course and then set it up with a mini golf kit you can buy online. Set up a prize table with different things to win, such as gold coins and miniature golf-related toys. You can also let your child host their party at a mini-golf course.

3- Dance Party

This party theme is great for toddlers through to teens. Set up a dance floor and let your child's friends bring their favorite music. You can also set up some microphones and let the kids sing their hearts out. Make sure you have plenty of space for children to move around. You can also set up a few games related to dancing, such as a spot the difference game.

Candles (battery operated are best!) and party lights are a great idea to set the mood, and you can use colorful balloons to decorate the table. You can also get your child's friends to paint their hands onto a table cloth with colorful washable paint, and use this as a centerpiece.

4- Video Game Birthday Party

This is a great party theme for all boy or girl parties. You can have a retro video game theme or keep it modern with a favorite game. Have your child choose three or four of their favorite games, and use these as inspiration for your decorations. You can use different colors for each game and create a few creative touches for each theme.

For example, if your child's favorite game is Mario, you can use red, yellow, and blue to decorate. You can also use retro-inspired decorations to make the party feel more authentic. This will go down especially well with the Stranger Things fans among them. You could even take things up a notch and rent out an actual real-life game room for them for the evening. Leaving you one less thing to worry about and some time to kick back and relax a little.

5- Candy Smash Party

A candy smash party is a great way for your child to celebrate their birthday with their friends. All you need are some cheap buckets and spoons, a few bags of candy, some paper towels, and cups for the spilled candy.

Set up a few different stations around the party area (which is best located outdoors), and let the kids go crazy. You can set up a flavor wheel and have them create their own flavored candy using a DIY candy kit. Or you can pick a color and have the kids smash that color of candy. Safety googles and other safety precautions should be used if you choose this party option.

6- Rock Climbing Birthday Party

This is another great party theme for children who enjoy adventure sports. You can find a climbing facility near you or set up a climbing wall at home. You can decorate with rocks, colorful balloons and make a few simple decorations with a climbing theme.

Make sure you have plenty of space for the kids to climb and plenty of safety equipment for them to wear. You can also set up a few games related to climbing, such as finding items hidden in a bin of sand.
