🎨The Creative Inspiration
I cannot take full credit for this umbrella door décor as I saw it on Pinterest, however, I wanted to recreate it in my own style. I love my iridescent umbrella and the Rachel Zoe iridescent flowers I picked up at TJ Maxx months ago, and after scavenging my craft closets, I ended up having everything on hand to make this my own way and I bet you do too!
I love these faux flowers from Rachel Zoe at TJ Maxx!
🌼 Why the Umbrella Door Decor Is Going Viral
This trend is everywhere—and for good reason:
It’s affordable compared to traditional wreaths as you probably already have the items needed to create it
Super easy to customize with any color or patterns you want
Takes under 30 minutes to make
Creates a full, eye-catching look with minimal effort
Plus, it adds a whimsical, fresh-from-the-garden vibe to your home or entryway. Add it to your home in APRIL, as the saying goes, April showers bring May flowers! It’s such an easy front porch upgrade too!

🛠️ Supplies You’ll Need
To create your umbrella door decor, gather these items:
1 umbrella (clear, pastel, or patterned works best, this is my iridescent umbrella)
Faux spring flowers (tulips, daisies, peonies, or greenery or even feathers!)
Ribbon or bow (I used tulle ribbon and iridescent garland)
Wire cutters or scissors
Command hook (extra strong) or wreath hanger
💡 Tip: Choose flowers in bright spring colors like pink, yellow, lavender, and white for a custom to you design.

✂️ Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Prep Your Umbrella
Start by unlatching your umbrella but leaving it unopened. You want it to act as the “base” of your arrangement.
I used newsprint to stuff mine
2. Stuff It
Add some tissue paper or newsprint inside your umbrella so you don’t poke a hole in it. Also, if you are using a long umbrella vs. a short umbrella, it will add some cushion and height for long stems of flowers.
Adding faux flowers
3. Arrange Your Flowers Inside
Add small bundles of flowers and greenery. Layer different textures and colors to give your decor a full, natural look. Cut stems if needed, especially if your umbrella is short. Keep the handle area clean for hanging.
Adding the ribbon
4. Add a Statement Bow
Tie a ribbon (and garland like I did) around the umbrella to keep the flowers in. It also adds a polished, decorative touch.
The finished look
5. Hang Your Decor
Hang it on your door using a hook or hanger. You can also hang it on a wall for a cute spring wall décor addition!
It adds a cute touch to any door
✨ Final Thoughts
The viral umbrella spring front door decor is one of the easiest ways to make your home feel fresh, inviting, and on-trend. Whether you’re decorating for guests or just want to brighten your space, this DIY delivers big impact with minimal effort.
