The 21st installment of my #MondayMantra series: I am joy
Joy is a beautiful word. To me, it means “a combination of love and happiness”. When you are filled with joy, you are filled with exactly those two things.
I write “I am love, light, joy and peace” in my journal every single day. Those four things are what I hope I exude into the world always. I hope for others to try do the same. If we all did, I believe the earth would light up brighter than anyone could ever imagine.
By the way….you can have your sad days (gotta feel those feels when you need to!), but ALWAYS allow love, light, joy and peace back into your life.
Special “Artist Note” From Carolyn:
I used glitter Gelly Roll pens called “Stardust” as an accent in today’s artwork. I use them often, though they don’t show up super well via photo.
I really like glitter………….it gives me feelings of JOY for sure. I used it to outline “JOY” in my art because I feel it really accented it and helped to capture the feeling of JOY.
I wear glitter sometimes “just because”. I used glitter dry shampoo when I taught and some of my students started wearing glitter in their hair as well. I’m definitely not the only one who likes glitter!
Sending my light and love to all who need it!
Backstory on my mantra series:
A mantra is a word, phrase, or sound that is repeated to aid in meditation. You could also compare it to a sort of prayer. I feel my journaling and writing of my mantras is a form of meditation or prayer. It calms me and helps me make better sense of my feelings and all the thoughts swimming around in my mind.
I believe saying or writing something repeatedly, as you already have it, aids one in attaining dreams and goals. If you write something as you already have it, it makes you feel, somehow, as if it is truly happening no matter how drastic or scary it may seem. It's like a trick to help your brain catch up to what your heart desires.
