Try stuffed grape leaves at your Greek-Styled dinner party

There are so many delicious Greek dishes to choose from, but sometimes it's best to stick to the classics. When in doubt, opt for well-known favorites like spanakopita (spinach pie), dolma (stuffed grape leaves), lamb kabobs, and chicken gyros with homemade tzatziki or tiropita (cheese pie). You really can't go wrong with any of these classic options.

2- Incorporate Seasonal Produce

Try seasonal produce mixed in with your Greek-style food

Take advantage of seasonal produce to give your dishes a fresh and flavorful twist. In the springtime, that might mean incorporating fresh peas or asparagus into your spanakopita recipe. Consider adding some ripe tomatoes or cucumbers to your dolma filling in the summertime. And in the fall and winter months, hearty root vegetables like potatoes, sweet potatoes, or squash would make a great addition to your tiropita filling. So get creative and have fun with it!

3- Make It a Family Affair

Eating Greek food can transport your mind to Greece

One of the best things about Greek food is that it's meant to be shared! So please invite your friends and family to make it a fun event. Ask everyone to bring their favorite dish or beverage to share, put on some music, and enjoy each other's company. Before you know it, you'll be transported to the Mediterranean without leaving your home!

4- Set the Mood with Decorations

Try creating olive branches out of clay

Creating the right ambience is key to setting the stage for any dinner party. To capture the feel of Greece, try hanging some blue and white fabric from the ceiling or around doorways. If you're hosting outdoors, you could also string fairy lights around the room or on patio umbrellas. And, of course, no Greek-themed party would be complete without some olive branches! Scatter them around tablescapes or use them as part of your centerpieces. Trust us; your guests will be impressed by all the little details.

5- Serve Traditional Drinks

What's a dinner party without cocktails? Printed glasses are always fun. If you want to stay true to the theme, try serving up some ouzo which is Greece's national drink, DON'T FORGET THE BAKLAVA FOR DESSERT!!! Baklava is a dessert made with phyllo dough, nuts, and syrup, OF COURSE! If you are feeling extra fancy, try making some loukoumades - Greek-style doughnuts.

We hope these tips have inspired you to host your Greek-themed dinner party! Just remember to keep things simple by sticking to classic dishes, taking advantage of seasonal produce, making it a family affair, setting the mood with decorations, and serving traditional drinks. With some planning and effort, you'll be well on your way to hosting an event that would make Zeus proud.
