The Best Christmas Cookie Recipes

I have never turned my back on a great cookie recipe. The holiday season was always when I practiced my baking skills the most. I’ve always loved to bake and also love sharing my sugary creations with others. I was probably one of the only children in school that only looked forward to being off school during the holidays so I could bake all day! Colorful boxes full of cookies and buckeyes was something all my friends and family members looked forward to receiving every Christmas.

With Christmas being right around the corner, I thought it would be a great time to share some ideas to get your creative baking juices going. Read on to learn about some of my favorite inspiring cookie ideas for Christmas.

1- Gingerbread Men

Gingerbread men are a classic cookie for good reasons; they are easy to make and taste amazing. Gingerbread men are also very festive because they contain plenty of seasonal spices such as cinnamon. Gingerbread cookies go nicely with a hot drink to set off the tangy aftertaste.

If you want to make delicious gingerbread cookies this winter, you will need a few things from the store. You will need flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, butter, sugar, and golden syrup. But, they are simple to make, just mix up the ingredients and cut the shape on a tray.

Try this recipe for easy gingerbread man cookies, but try this creative idea before baking: Poke a hole in each gingerbread man’s head using a wooden skewer. After baking, thread a cute ribbon in the hole for a cookie that can also be a cute decoration.
