1- Going Electronic

While computers can use a lot of electricity, you can sidestep this by going for the best drawing tablet, which is an amazing way for your kids to get creative. Electronic drawing tools can be a great waste-free way to create eco-friendly art.

2- Eggshells

Something that is amazing to use for eco-friendly crafting are eggshells, if you are not already composting them. You can make amazing decorations with eggshells, by piecing them together to create an amazing picture that can be a great decoration for your fridge.

Painting leftover eggshells in different colors and crushing them up into certain textures can make it look like a mosaic. A wonderful and inspiring piece of work that you can do really easily with just some leftover dried eggshells and a little bit of time is very environmentally friendly.

3- Rocks and Stones

Another great thing for you to create with the kids, is rock and stone art. Rocks and stones have so many different uses that you will be incredibly surprised what you can really do with them! You can, of course, paint rocks and stones and add googly eyes to them, but you can also create handmade jewelry. All you need is some string beads, some glue, and a bit of paint to make a variety of different colored rocks that look amazing!

4- Nature Pictures

If you are stuck for things to do with your child when you are on vacation, you can take a walk with them to collect feathers, twigs, leaves, and anything else that you can see and create an amazing landscape that looks like the trees, mountains, birds, and the sea.

5- A Nature Bracelet

If you are looking to create something natural and beautiful, make a nature themed bracelet. You can easily do this by wrapping some long stemmed grasses around your wrist and using the natural stems to tie on a number of colorful flowers, leaves, and natural objects to make the most stunning and simple bracelet. I made a lot of clover and flower necklaces as a kid and know most children would still enjoy doing this today.

6- Cutlery

You can make something really striking with such common items left around the house like leftover or unused take-out cutlery. Using some glue, forks and a couple of extra materials, you can create a really impressive flower. Get yourself some glitter or sparkly materials and it looks even better because glitter makes everything better in our opinion! While your at it, make sure your glitter is eco-friendly too.

7- Twigs

The greatest thing about a lot of environmentally-friendly crafts is that you don't have to go far to get these things. You can collect some twigs in the backyard and make a cute little vase still-life set up. All you need to do is get some string and tie them together, or simply arrange them in an existing vase, or make one out of natural clay or mud.

The fact is that there are so many different opportunities to do environmentally-friendly crafts, but the best ideas are yours. Let your mind wander, and just be as creative as you want!
