With You All Things Are Possible

Photography by Carolyn J. Braden

It's been a whirlwind of a week, but I am lucky. I am lucky because I am going through some things one could call stressful, but to me they aren't because I'm going through them with my best friend, Tommy Braden.

He is my sunshine, my love and with him, all things are possible. I dedicate today's writing piece to him. My wish is for everyone to have someone they can count on to be there when they need them the most.

What happened? Here you go:

Yesterday our neighbor's tree had a branch that fell on our house. It wasn't a big branch and didn't do much damage (other than a squished gutter piece), but it happened. It could have been so much worse, but it wasn't and I am ever so grateful for that. (Thank you God!)

It doesn't look pretty, but it's all going to be okay. The branch is actually still attached to the tree, so it's just kind of laying propped up against our house right now. We'll be calling some tree companies and will get it taken care of.

We are also in the process of pulling our house off the market and getting contractors to help us finish the little bits of renovations that still need to be finished. It'll be lots of work and some time, but we know it'll be worth it in the end.

We were ready to move forward onto our next adventure, but know financially, getting the house done first, and listing it a bit higher, makes better sense with the housing market flourishing right now.

Are either of these things life or death? Nope. But they still are situations that can be perceived to be stressful to many people.

Am I worried about any of it. Nope. Why? Because I have Tommy by my side.
