I’ve been noticing people giving some really good hugs lately.
I happened upon two separate couples (on two different days and in different areas of my town) giving each other hugs that were the “I love you so much and I’m never letting go” type of hug. My heart warmed in seeing this kind of affection.
Hugs are pretty awesome if you think about it. The transferring of good energy released in a hug is healing and comforting. While I love hugging my pets, human touch wins above all as being miraculous and magical.
Whenever my husband or I feel “down in the dumps”, we stop and ask the other for a hug. I think it helps heal any kind of blues we may be feeling.
I also love hugging my friends/family members to say hello or goodbye. I feel we kind of “imprint” on each other when we do so. This can lead to a lasting good feeling of contentment that can stay with you the rest of the day.
I LOVE HUGS.
The next time you aren’t feeling that great, turn to a friend or family member and ask for a hug. You can even ask someone you just met if you think they’d be open to it. I’ve done that before. I just said “I’m a hugger” and then they hugged me when I opened my arms.
